We've gone almost a month with INOP video conference rooms. Well that date comes and goes (some other bug requiring a new submission), and another comes and goes, and now it's early August. I message the vendor to ask if that will be an issue (I assume there's some alternate method/reason) and he says "ohhh, yeah, they are waiting for their app to be approved, we'll need to reschedule out another week" and sends me a Crestron article with some ETA in early July. This was back in late June, but a few days before the tech is supposed to arrive, I go to the Apple store on the Ipad to load up the software for his arrival and get a "not available in your region" message when trying to download it. So I order some replacement IPad's and realize that we're gonna going to need to call the vendor to reload the project files as they were loaded on the device originally, and not the controller, and us IT peons don't have access to the Crestron software to load it, and no way to get it. The original install was done by a large commercial AVI vendor. Unfortunately, almost three years to the day, both swelled and blew up, probably due to long term overheating caused by the charging cases they were in.
So we've had a few IPAD's with crestron software used to control our video conference rooms for a few years now.
